Employers Liability Tracing Office (ELTO)

The ELTO is an independent industry body set up by Employers Liability Insurers in response to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) making it compulsory for Employers Liability Insurers to publish specific data about their policies. This data will be used to populate a central database the Employer Liability Database (ELD) this will be accessible to claimants and their representatives allowing them to trace employers liability policies online at www.elto.org.uk. 

In addition to the information that the insurers are providing, any companies taking out and renewing their Employers Liability Insurance will have to provide their Employers Reference Number, also known as PAYE Reference along with a list of subsidiary companies. 

We will be collecting this information at renewal and will provide this to the insurers so that the ELD can be updated.
